Here at Taylor & Pickles, we’re proud of our rich heritage and past, and not more so than when we find some amazing artefacts that showcase that history.

Recently, we discovered the first ever advert and price list, as well as the original engraved bronze plaque from our first ever showroom on Glover’s Court, Preston, both from 1929. These pieces of the past illustrate just how far the company has grown to the present day and how our story has developed.

Established in 1929, the company initially started life as a small engraving and rubber stamp supplier and, with more and more success along the way, the company outgrew the location. The success can be attributed to winning contracts to supply signage to Marks & Spencer, the British Council, and BNFL among many others.

Following on from this, we moved into a new location to cope with the growth of the business and started to utilise the internet to generate enquiries, rather than purely a shopfront.

After merging with Electropak in 2002, Taylor & Pickles has been able to continuously grow, gaining more blue-chip accounts and moving further into larger premises.
